Callaway Junior Tour plays Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain Resort

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited The Raven Golf Course at Snowshoe Resort Wednesday with a total field of 66 golfers aged 10 to 18.

Jude Walker of Mount Zion, playing in the boys 12 and under division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys, helped by scoring five birdies. Marra Johnson of Bridgeport, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

“The Raven is in really good condition.  It should have been a good challenge for the youth players today,” said Raven’s General Manager and Superintendent Chester Guzek. “We appreciate everyone coming out to support West Virginia junior golf.”

“It’s wonderful to have a great day of junior golf in the mountains of West Virginia,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Golf Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Mount Zion;
  • Boys 13-14: Isaac Hayes of Hurricane;
  • Boys 15-16: Joshua Gooden of Hurricane;
  • Boys 17-18: Alex Kagan of Lewisburg;
  • Girls 10-14: Madilyn Buttrey of Williamstown; and
  • Girls 15-18: Marra Johnson of Bridgeport.
