Callaway Junior Tour played The Greenbrier morning and afternoon; hole in one scored

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited The Greenbrier for Wednesday morning and afternoon sessions with a total field of 94 golfers aged 10 to 18.

In the morning session, Carson Higginbotham of Clarksburg, playing in the boys 13-14 division, scored a hole in one on the seventh hole of the Greenbrier Course.

Higginbotham won the morning Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. Scarlett Albertson of Charleston, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won the morning Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

Stephen McDavid of Scott Depot, playing in the boys 15-16 division, won the afternoon Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. McKenna Knotts, playing in the girls 10-14 division, won the afternoon Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

“We’re always glad to have the WVGA and the Callaway Junior Tour here.  The Greenbrier has a long history with the Callaway program,” said The Greenbrier’s Head Golf Professional Hill Herrick. “For me, personally, it’s fun to see the second generation of golfers in this program.  We watched their parents play here as youngsters and the parents are now here to watch their children play.  These kids are getting really good and youth golf is getting stronger.”
