The Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), played Friday at Locust Hill Golf Course in Charles Town.

The CJRT Rookie League is broken into three divisions, based on skill and experience.  Division winners were:

  • AAA (nine holes): Xavier Gunter of Charles Town;
  • AA (nine holes): Braylon Shultz of Kearneysville; and
  • A (six holes): Elliott Sublett of Philippi.

“We are always excited to host junior golf event.  This is a relaxing event for those who are learning the game or maybe playing in their first tournament,” said Locust Hill Owner and General Manager Wayne Clark.

“We’d like to thank all the staff at Locust Hill for helping run a great golf tournament for these junior golfers,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Golf.

The event, a partner of Callaway Golf and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association, featured a field of 33 golfers aged 5 to 18 from across West Virginia.
