Karen Kinnett Wins 51st West Virginia Senior Women’s Amateur at Lewisburg Elks Country Club 

The 51st playing of the West Virginia Women’s Amateur Championship, conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), saw Karen Kinnett of Shepherdstown take the title following two days of play at Lewisburg Elks Country Club with a (+22) 162 total.

This championship featured 50 of the best senior female golfers in West Virginia.

“We love seeing these senior women golfers on our course for two days,” said Lewisburg’s Davy Jones.  “This shows golf is a great sport for people of all ages.”

“We congratulate Karen Kinnett and all our division winners.  We also thank Davy Jones and the entire Lewisburg Elks staff and organization for hosting this championship,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Events Sarah Cole.

  • Championship Flight Gross: Karen Kinnett of Shepherdstown
  • Championship Flight Net: Sylke Knuppel of Shepherdstown and Jackie Hayslette of Summersville
  • Championship First Flight Gross: Kathy Thompson of Summersville
  • Championship First Flight Net: Lori Vargo of Daniels
  • Championship Second Flight Gross: Diana Watkins of Elizabeth
  • Championship Second Flight Net: Donna Dugas of Warwood
  • Super Senior First Flight Gross and Net: Janie Webber of Daniels
  • Super Senior Second Flight Gross: Kathy Persinger of Cross Lanes and
  • Super Senior Second Flight Net: Becky Brogan of Hurricane.
