Dodrill Takes His First WVGA Senior Series Low Round of 2025 Season

  1. Brent Dodrill of Morgantown took his first Little General Stores Low Round of the Day at the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) Senior Series event Monday at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown, shooting a two over par (+2) 74.

Overall, 78 players enjoyed the great weather at today’s Senior Series event.  The Senior Series, which is presented by Little General Stores and conducted by the WVGA, is for players ages 50 and older.  Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and Diamond, 80+.

“The entire Lakeview staff provided our golfers with a serious test of golf today in beautiful weather conditions,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole.  “We were pleased with the size of the turnout!”

In addition to Dodrill winning the Gold Gross category, other winners today were:

  • Senior Gross: Michael Koreski of Parkersburg, (+8) 80;
  • Senior Net: Shad Butcher of Jane Lew, (-1) 71;
  • Silver Gross: Eric Fairbanks of Morgantown, (+8) 80;
  • Silver Net: David Butler of South Charleston, (-1) 71;
  • Gold Net: Michael Wylie of White Sulphur Springs, (-8) 64; and
  • Diamond Gross: Terry Whitfield of Moundsville, (+18) 90; and
  • Diamond Net: Duane Lescalet of Wheeling, (+1) 73.

The Senior Series is back in action Tuesday, September 23, on the Cobb course at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels.
