Daniels takes second WVGA Senior Series Low Round at Grandview Country Club

Chris Daniels of Beckley shot his second Little General Stores Low Round of the Day for the season at Wednesday’s Senior Series event, hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) and sponsored by Little General Stores, at Grandview Country Club with an even par 72.

“Grandview Country Club is always a pleasure to visit with the Senior Series, even with the rainy conditions today,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole.

“The greens were good today, but the fairways not so much,” said Grandview Owner Randy Scott.  “We enjoy having these guys, some of whom we only see once a year, so it’s fun for us.”

The West Virginia Senior Series, which is presented by Little General Stores and conducted by the WVGA, is for players ages 50 and up.

Overall, 58 players enjoyed the WVGA the day’s Senior Series event.  Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and Diamond, 80+.
