Cook takes second win in two days in Callaway Junior Tour at Pipestem Resort

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited Pipestem Resort in Pipestem Wednesday with a field of 71 golfers ages 10 to 18.

Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana, playing in the girls 15-18 division, took her second Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls in two days, and her third this month.  Carson Higginbotham of Clarksburg, playing in the boys 13-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys.

“It’s a great privilege to have WVGA and the Callaway Junior Tour visit Pipestem,” said Pipestem’s Head Golf Professional Steve Robertson.  “The WVGA and these young golfers are always a pleasure to have on our course.”

“The strong winds made the golf course challenging today,” said Lucas Ware, WVGA’s Tournament Manager – Youth Golf.  “The course is in great condition, and we thank Steve Robertson and staff for allowing us out today.”

Highlights of the day included five birdies for Cook and two birdies each for Deeb, Nicholas Anderson of Fairmont, Mason Halfin of Moatsville, Marshall Legg of Hinton and Samuel Phillips of Beckley.
