Cook and O’Dell take Low Rounds of the Day in Callaway Junior Tour at Berry Hills Country Club

A field of 79 golfers, aged 10 to 18, participated in the Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), Monday at the Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston.

Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won her fourth Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls this season. Parker O’Dell of Hurricane, playing in the boys 13-14 division, won his first Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys.

“I grew up playing the Junior Tour and I enjoyed driving the course and watching the players today,” said Berry Hills Assistant Golf Professional Will Evans.  “It was a beautiful day for golf with the breeze and cloud cover.”

“We finally had a cooler day and the junior golfers enjoyed the sun, the breeze and the lower temperatures,” said WVGA Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Elizabeth, (+2) 72;
  • Boys 13-14: Parker O’Dell of Hurricane, (+2) 72;
  • Boys 15-16: Ben Carew of South Charleston, (+3) 73;
  • Boys 17-18: Caleb Young of Fairmont, (+4) 74;
  • Girls 10-14: Valentina Aguilar of Elkins, (+33) 103; and
  • Girls 15-18: Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana, (-1) 69.
