Callaway Junior Tour visits Valley View Golf Club for first time

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited Valley View Golf Club in Moorefield for the first time Wednesday with a field of 34 golfers ages 10 to 18.

JW Teets of Lost River, playing in the boys 17-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys.  Scarlett Albertson of Charleston won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

Highlights of the day included three birdies each for JW Teets of Lost River and Lucas Riggleman of Petersburg.

“This was our first visit to Valley View with their great staff, but I doubt it’s the last.  They created a wonderful day of golf for our young golfers,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Matthew Riggleman of Petersburg;
  • Boys 13-14: Peyton VanMeter of Augusta;
  • Boys 15-16: Dillon Dunz of Marlinton;
  • Boys 17-18: JW Teets of Lost River;
  • Girls 10-14: Kiara Shank of Charles Town; and
  • Girls 15-18: Scarlett Albertson of Charleston.
