Callaway Junior Tour starts southern tour at Glade Springs

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited the Cobb course at The Resort at Glade Springs Wednesday with a total field of 94 golfers aged 10 to 18.

Madeline Potts of Wheeling, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won her first Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls in the 2024 season.

Parker O’Dell of Hurricane, playing in the boys 13-14 division, also won his first Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys for the season.

“We’re always glad to have our juniors here at Glade Springs,” said Kyle Long, Glade Springs Resort’s head golf professional.  “The course is in pretty good shape, and we’re even hand-watering when we need to.”

The division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Bentley Shirkey of Barboursville;
  • Boys 13-14: Parker O’Dell of Hurricane;
  • Boys 15-16: Cooper Ward of Beaver;
  • Boys 17-18: Kellen Pauley of Hurricane;
  • Girls 10-14: Makenzie Egress of Buckhannon; and
  • Girls 15-18: Madeline Potts of Wheeling.
