Callaway Junior Tour finished “Northern Swing” at Wheeling Country Club

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited Wheeling Country Club Friday with a field of 81 golfers aged 10 to 18.

This was the final day of the “Northern Swing,” presented by the Cindy O’Donnell Foundation.

Carson Higginbotham of Clarksburg, playing in the boys 13-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. Brielle Milhoan of Vienna, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

“As always, we looked forward to hosting these junior golfers today.  I had a great relationship with the late Larry Martin, and this continues his legacy,” said Wheeling Country Club General Manager and Head PGA Professional Rich Conwell.  “The WVGA does a great job and anything we can do to promote golf is important.  It’s great to see these kids having fun.”

“The players handled the hilly course well and today was a success,” said Lucas Ware, WVGA’s Tournament Manager – Youth Golf.

Division winners were:
