Callaway Junior Tour continued western swing at Esquire Golf Course

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), continued the western swing Tuesday at Esquire Golf Course in Barboursville.  There was a field of 59 golfers aged 10 to 18.

Makenzie Egress of Buckhannon, playing in the girls 10-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls. Kellen Pauley of Hurricane, playing in the boys 17-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys.

“We always look forward to hosting these young golfers,” said Esquire’s Clubhouse Manager Chase McWhorter.  “The golf course is in great shape, and I think the kids had fun.”

“My first Callaway Junior Tour event at Esquire Golf Course was a success! Thanks to GM Chase McWhorter for allowing us out,” said WVGA Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Elizabeth, (+2) 74;
  • Boys 13-14: Wyatt Maynard of Barboursville, (+3) 75;
  • Boys 15-16: Alex White of Barboursville, (+1) 73;
  • Boys 17-18: Kellen Pauley of Hurricane, (E) 72;
  • Girls 10-14: Makenzie Egress of Buckhannon, (+5) 77.; and
  • Girls 15-18: Scarlett Albertson of Charleston, (+11) 83.
