Bilby and Scragg win WV Tri-State PGA Classic divisions at Guyan Country Club

After a first day that saw defending amateur champion Ryan Bilby of Follansbee secure a two-stroke lead, he came back on the final day of play to take a four-stroke win over the second-place players.  Bilby finished with a seven under par (-7) 135.

David Scragg of Scott Depot took the professional division with a three under par (-3) 139, tying for second with amateur John Aber of Sewickley, Pa.

“It’s great to see Guyan members finish in so well in both amateur and professional divisions. We are proud to have a facility that can prepare players to compete at the highest level in West Virginia,” said Guyan’s assistant golf professional Cameron Grobe. “We love this event and look forward to seeing the golfers each year.”

“Congratulations to Ryan Bilby for successfully defending his 2024 championship and David Scragg for winning the professional division,” said WVGA’s Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware. “This was another great event in our partnership with the Tri-State PGA section. The leaderboard was packed with the best players in the state.”

Rounding out the top ten in the final field of 51 players were:
