Scott Bibbee Takes First WVGA Senior Series Low Round of 2025 Season

Scott Bibbee of Vienna took his first Little General Stores Low Round of the Day at the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) Senior Series event Monday at Edgewood Country Club, shooting a one under par (-1) 70.

Overall, 103 players enjoyed the great fall weather at today’s Senior Series event.  The Senior Series, which is presented by Little General Stores and conducted by the WVGA, is for players ages 50 and older.  Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and Diamond, 80+.

“It’s been a great season of WVGA events here at Edgewood, and we want to thank all the golfers who have made it so much fun,” said Edgewood’s Head Golf Professional Craig Berner.  “We owe a lot to our superintendent Kenny Eggleton and his crew for keeping our course in such wonderful shape throughout the season.”

“Craig, Kenny and the Edgewood staff provided our golfers with a wonderful fall day of golf in beautiful weather conditions,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole.  “We were pleased with the size of the turnout!”

In addition to Bibbee winning the Silver Gross category, other winners today were:

  • Senior Gross: Chris Daniels of Beckley, (+2) 73;
  • Senior Net: Todd Keller of Ripley, (-2) 69;
  • Silver Net: Rick Sponseller of Charleston, (+2) 73;
  • Gold Gross: Gary Schrickel of St. Clairsville, Ohio, (E) 71;
  • Gold Net: Michael Wylie of White Sulphur Springs, (-5) 66;
  • Diamond Gross: Bob White of Hurricane, (+11) 82; and
  • Diamond Net: James McKnight of West Columbia, (+5) 76.
