Hutchison and Dickson take Round of the Day in Callaway Junior Tour at Stonewall Resort

A field of 90 golfers, aged 10 to 18, participated in the Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), Thursday at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke.

Isaac Hutchison of Lewisburg, playing in the boys 15-16 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. Olivia Dickson of St. Clairsville, Ohio, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

“As always, we’re excited to host the Callaway Junior Tour here at Stonewall Resort.  These young golfers are our future, and we love working with the WVGA on these events,” said Stonewall’s Head PGA Professional Mike Rogers.  “The course gave the golfers a good test while still having fun.”

“I want to thank Mike Rogers for all he does for Junior Golf. Thanks to Stonewall Resort for having us out today and congratulations to all the winners,” said WVGA Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Bentley Shirkey of Barboursville, (+8) 80;
  • Boys 13-14: Grant Winkler of Daniels, (+6) 78;
  • Boys 15-16: Isaac Hutchison of Lewisburg, (+4) 76;
  • Boys 17-18: Caleb Young of Fairmont, (+8) 80;
  • Girls 10-14: Valentina Aguilar of Elkins, (+31) 103.; and
  • Girls 15-18: Olivia Dickson of St. Clairsville, Ohio, (+12) 84.

The Callaway Junior Tour is in action again Monday, June 10, at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane.
