The Club at Cress Creek’s Team 1 took Monday’s win and bragging rights over 10 other teams during the 2024 West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) Women’s Intra State Matches at The Club at Cress Creek in Shepherdstown. They successfully defended their 2023 win.
Members of The Club at Cress Creek Team 1, finishing at even par 142 and winning the Championship Division, were Kimberly Eaton, Karen Kinnett, Lisa Younis and Sylka Knuppel.
“Lots of ladies came from clubs around the state to have a great competition,” said Cress Creek’s Head Golf Professional Jeff Rosenburg. “The course may have taken some lumps from the heat this summer, but the greens are great.”
Other division-winning teams were:
- Platinum: Bridgeport Country Club with Caroline Ramsey, Haeley Harman, Robin Ward and Lauren Ramsey;
- Gold: Nicholas Memorial with Jackie Hayslette, Esther Joo, Lenora Thomas and Kathy Thompson;
- Silver: Creekside Golf Course with Mendy Bays, Lisa Moore, Kay Smith and Doris Wheeler; and
- Silver Net: Cress Creek 3 with Rose Wayland, Victoria Weagly, Cindy Gresham and Suze Sheehan.
