Koreski takes WVGA Senior Series Low Round at Berry Hills Country Club

Michael Koreski of Parkersburg shot Monday’s Little General Stores Low Round of the Day at the Senior Series event, hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) and sponsored by Little General Stores, at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston at one over par 71.

“Berry Hills Country Club is always a pleasure to visit with the Senior Series, even with the hot conditions today,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole.

The West Virginia Senior Series, which is presented by Little General Stores and conducted by the WVGA, is for players ages 50 and up.

Overall, 91 players enjoyed the WVGA the day’s Senior Series event.  Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and Diamond, 80+.

In addition to Koreski of Parkersburg winning the Senior Gross category, other winners today were:

  • Senior Gross: Michael Koreski of Parkersburg, (+1) 71;
  • Senior Net: Jamey Little of South Charleston, (-8) 62;
  • Silver Gross: Harold Payne of Hurricane, (+5) 75;
  • Silver Net: William Kincaid of Charleston, (-5) 65;
  • Gold Gross: Neil Christiansen of Parkersburg, (+6) 76;
  • Gold Net: David Snyder of South Charleston, (-4) 66;
  • Diamond Gross: Terry Whitfield of Moundsville, (+19) 89; and
  • Diamond Net: Darrell Loggins of Mount Gay, (+4) 74.
