Callaway Junior Tour saw over 90 players at Bridgeport Country Club

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), visited Bridgeport Country Club Monday with a field of 94 golfers ages 10 to 18.

Isaac Hayes of Hurricane, playing in the boys 13-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. Isabelle Studli of Fairfield, Pa., playing in the girls 10-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls.

“We’re excited to host a Callaway Junior Tour event for WVGA another year,” said Bridgeport’s Head Golf Professional Mike Gervais.  “I grew up playing Callaway Junior Tour golf, so we love to host these junior players and watch them play our course.”

“We appreciate Bridgeport Country Club for hosting us, including Callaway alumnus Head Golf Professional Mike Gervis and his crew,” said Lucas Ware, WVGA’s Tournament Manager – Youth Golf.

Highlights of the day included six birdies for Adam Gill of Wheeling, five birdies for Stephen McDavid of Scott Depot and two birdies and an eagle for Nicholas Anderson of Fairmont.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Blaine Morgan of Bluefield;
  • Boys 13-14: Isaac Hayes of Hurricane;
  • Boys 15-16: Adam Gill of Wheeling;
  • Boys 17-18: Caleb Young of Fairmont;
  • Girls 10-14: Isabelle Studli of Fairfield, Pa.; and
  • Girls 15-18: Marra Johnson of Bridgeport.
