Callaway Junior Tour returns to its home at Parkersburg Country Club; Cook wins eighth and Fallon wins second Round of the Day

The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), returned to Parkersburg Country Club Monday with a total field of 98 golfers aged 10 to 18.

Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana, playing in the girls 15-18 division, won her eighth Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls in the 2024 season.

Cam Fallon of Parkersburg, playing in the boys 15-16 division, also won his second Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys for the season.

“We love having the WVGA and Callaway Junior Tour here are Parkersburg Country Club.  This is where that Tour was born, thanks to the late Larry Martin,” said Adam Chesnut, Parkersburg’s head golf professional.  “The course is still in really, really good shape, largely thanks to Superintendent Pat Maher and his amazing crew.”

The division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Bentley Shirkey of Barboursville;
  • Boys 13-14: Evan Johnson of Greenup, Ky.;
  • Boys 15-16: Cameron Fallon of Parkersburg;
  • Boys 17-18: Caleb Young of Fairmont;
  • Girls 10-14: Makenzie Egress of Buckhannon; and
  • Girls 15-18: Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana.
