Cam Roam takes WV Amateur Series at Woodhaven Course in Daniels

The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) West Virginia Amateur Series, presented by PSIMED, saw Cam Roam of Huntington take the Championship Division on the Woodhaven Course in Daniels with a two under par 70 on the strength of five birdies.

Jonah Willson of Daniels captured the Men’s Gross Division with a four over par 76.  Bill Capelety of Farmington took the Men’s Net Division with a three under par 69.

Mary Denny of Mount Hope claimed the Women’s Gross Division with a 12 over par 84, while Janice Allen of Daniels took the Women’s Net Division with a one over par 73.

Other highlights on the day included seven birdies for Janice Allen of Daniels, two birdies and three eagles for Mary Denny of Mount Hope, six birdies and an eagle for Bill Capelety of Farmington, five birdies and an eagle for Maximillian Morris of Princeton, five birdies for Jeff Rollyson of Barboursville, three birdies and an eagle for Tim Erwin of Beckley and four birdies for Justin Keaton of Charleston.

“Our players did well today and had some great course conditions,” said WVGA Interim Executive Director Chris Slack. “Thanks to PSIMED for their support and Woodhaven for their hospitality.”

The West Virginia Amateur Series, presented by PSIMED, is open to anyone, male or female, of any skill level. Awards are given in several flights based on gross and net scores.
