90th West Virginia Open gets another 19 qualifiers at Sleepy Hollow Golf

The third of six state-wide qualifiers for the 90th West Virginia Open Championship enjoyed a beautiful day Monday at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane.  Hoping to qualify for one of 19 spots in the Championship later this month, 54 golfers teed off this morning.

Earning Medalist Honors with a three under par 69 was Jackson Woodburn of Scott Depot.  Other qualifiers were:

  • John Logan Taylor of Charleston;
  • David Scragg of Poca;
  • Drew Call of Shepherdstown;
  • Chase Wolfe of Charleston;
  • Cole Moore of Spencer;
  • Will Johnson of Charleston;
  • Brian Stuck of St. Albans;
  • Andrew Miller of Scott Depot;
  • Chris Bohach of Ona;
  • Zach Chapman of Culloden;
  • Mason Weese of Charleston;
  • Brandon Fivecoait of Vincent, Ohio;
  • Andrew Johnson of Hurricane;
  • Garrett Simon of Spencer;
  • Stephen McDavid of Scott Depot;
  • Jason Holstein of Hurricane;
  • Jason McClanahan of Charleston; and
  • Mike Keiffer of Scott Depot.

Alternates are Dave Moles of White Sulphur Springs and Baley Beckwith of Huntington.

Other highlights of the day include three birdies and two eagles for John Logan Taylor, five birdies for Chase Wolfe of Charleston and four birdies each for Drew Call of Shepherdstown, Will Johnson of Charlreston and Brian Stuck of St. Albans.
