The 2025 West Virginia Mid-Amateur Championship, for golfers over 25, saw today’s field start with four golfers, down from 16 on Wednesday and 58 on Tuesday’s opening day of competition. At the end of the day, Noah Mullens of Milton emerged as the winner of the Championship, hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), at The Pines Country Club in Morgantown.
The West Virginia Mid-Amateur Championship saw four of the top golfers in the state tee off for the semi-final round on the third day of competition. In the semi-final round, Woody Woodward of Bridgeport defeated Cam Roam of Huntington, 3 and 2. In the other bracket, Mullens defeated Ryan Mason of Morgantown, 4 and 2.
In the Championship Round, Mullens led Mason after the second hole, and just kept increasing his lead from 1 up to finish at 4 up.
“This week has seen some great competitions, and we hope everyone enjoyed the course and the weather,” said The Pines’ Head Golf Professional Russell Reid. “We congratulate Noah on his strong finish to the title.”
“This has been a great three days of golf at The Pines, topped off by Noah’s dominant win today,” said WVGA Executive Director Chris Slack. “We can’t thank Russell Reid and the staff at The Pines enough for their work to make this a great event, and Pikewood Energy for honoring us as our presenting sponsor.”
