The 2025 West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) High School Series is a five-event individual and team series played on courses across West Virginia.
The fourth event of the Series, the WVGA High School Invite, took place Wednesday at Riverside Golf Club in Mason and featured 21 four-player teams from throughout the state and three teams from Ohio.
The team from Hurricane High School took top honors for the second time in this series, finishing at seven over par (+7) 217. Team members were Bryce Davis, Isaac Hayes, Carson and Parker O’Dell.
Rounding out the top five were:
- Wahama High School, (+8) 218;
- Winfield High School, (+12) 222;
- George Washington High School, (+18) 228; and
- Gallia Academy, Ohio, (+21) 231.
Grant Roush of Wahama took low individual honors, finishing at three under par (-3) 67. Rounding out the top five individuals were:
- Drew Marling of John Marshall, (E) 70
- Isaac Hayes of Hurricane, tied with Christopher Conley of Gallia Academy, (+1) 71; and
- Will Gruse of Charleston Catholic, tied with Gavin Martin of Winfield, (+2) 72.
“It’s always a great when we have the chance to host junior golf events and help build the future of the game,” said Riverside’s Head Golf Professional Ty Roush.
“Grant had a great round with family in attendance, which sometimes can be difficult. As always, thanks to the Roush family and Riverside Golf Club,” said WVGA Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.
