The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) saw a field of 20 golfers continue the 2025 Women’s Series season Tuesday at Fairmont Field Club.
Top honors in First Flight Gross, with a one-stroke lead, went to the team of Caroline Ramsey of Bridgeport and Lisa Younis of Shepherdstown, finishing the day at six over par (+6) 76.
First Flight Net, with a score of three over par (+3) 73, went to the team of Claytina Shepherd of Beckley and Kathy Thompson of Summersville.
Second Flight Gross honors went to Deb Bishop and Marcia Fisher, both of Moorefield, with a score of 13 over par (+13) 83.
Top honors in Second Flight Net went to the team of Becky Moots of Lost Creek and Karen Sutton of Clarksburg, scoring a six over par (+6) 76.
“We were looking forward to hosting our first WVGA Women’s Series event,” said Fairmont’s Sarah Yost. “The course was in great shape, and the weather cooperated.”
“We were thrilled to have a field of nearly two dozen women on the course today for the third event of our six-event 2025 Women’s Series,” said WVGA Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole.

The Ladies League is back in action Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2, at Raven Golf Club in Snowshoe.
