The “Last Chance” qualifier, the final of six state-wide qualifiers for the 91st West Virginia Open Championship, presented by WVU Medicine, saw a great day of golf at Bel Meadow Golf Club in Mt. Clare on Thursday. Hoping to qualify for one of six spots in the Championship later this month, 47 golfers teed off this morning.
According to a property representative, Bel Meadow was glad to host the Last Chance Qualifier and said the course was in good shape.
Earning Medalist Honors were Buck Gower of Grafton and Jace Lancaster of Clarksburg with a one over par 73. Other qualifiers were:
- Jared Bryant of Williamstown, (+2) 74;
- Grant Roush of Mason, (+2) 74;
- Parker O’Dell of Hurricane, (+2) 74; and
- Ben Kunselman of Parkersburg, (+2) 74.
“We thank the staff at Bel Meadows Golf Club for hosting us today,” said WVGA Executive Director Chris Slack. “We want to thank WVU Medicine for their support of today’s qualifier and the West Virginia Open Championship.”
