Studli and O’Dell take Rounds of the Day in Callaway Junior Tour at The Club at Cress Creek

A field of 31 golfers, aged 10 to 18, participated in the Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), Tuesday at the Club at Cress Creek in Shepherdstown.

Isabelle Studli of Fairfield, Pa., playing in the girls 15-18 division, won her second Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls this season. Christian O’Dell of Morgantown, playing in the boys 17-18 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys.

“We battled another day of high temperatures, but the players did well to stay hydrated. I want to thank Kirk Waldeck, former WVGA Executive Committee Member, for helping to set up the event and volunteering today,” said WVGA Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.

Division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & under: Mason Hearn of Mannington, (+39) 110;
  • Boys 13-14: Brody Williams of Morgantown, (+12) 83;
  • Boys 15-16: Robert Lowe III of Albright, (+11) 82;
  • Boys 17-18: Christian O’Dell of Morgantown, (+2) 73; and
  • Girls 15-18: Isabelle Studli of Fairfield, Pa., (+7) 78.

The Callaway Junior Tour is in action again Wednesday, June 19, at Locust Hill Golf Course in Charles Town.
