The second of two Junior Match Play qualifiers for players under 18, conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), took place Sunday at Tygart Lake Golf Course in Grafton. A field of 27 players competed for three qualifying spots for girls and six for boys, with an alternate in each group. The first qualifier saw nine boys and three girls move to the Junior Match Play Championship which is set for May 11 and 12 at the Parkersburg Country Club.
Girls qualifying today for the Championship are:
- Audrey Kerr of Bridgeport;
- Lauren Cline of Mineral Wells;
- McKenzie Armstrong of Belmont; and
- Alternate McKenna Knotts of Shinnston.
Boys qualifying for the Championship are:
- Carson Higginbotham of Clarksburg;
- Jackson Woodburn of Scott Depot;
- Owen Estel of Morgantown;
- Tomme Evans of Charles Town;
- Andrew Sheets of Morgantown;
- Noah Reasbeck of Martinsburg; and
- Alternate Andrew Pennybacker pf Wheeling
