The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) West Virginia Amateur Series, presented by PSIMED, saw Jess Ferrell of Fairmont take the Championship flight Thursday at Riverside Golf Club in Mason with a two under par 68. Susan Glasby of Chesapeake, Ohio took the Women’s Gross division with a one over par 71.
Karen Rainey of Daniels took her second Women’s Net Division of the season with a one over par 71.
John Ridenour of Long Bottom, Ohio took the Men’s Gross Division with a five over par 75, while Nick Martin of Huntington took the Men’s Net Division with a two under par 68.
Riverside’s co-owner and Head Golf Professional Ty Roush said, “The Bermuda grass is greening earlier than usual this year and the course is in real good shape. We love having the WVGA and the AM Series participants enjoy our course.”
“We want to thank Ty Roush and the staff at Riverside for the great conditions on the course and their hospitality,” said WVGA’s Director of Women’s Golf and One Day Series Sarah Cole. “We were thrilled to have 46 players on the course today. That says so much about this course and our Amateur Series presented by PSIMED.”
The West Virginia Amateur Series, presented by PSIMED, is open to anyone, male or female, of any skill level. Awards are given in several flights based on net and gross scores.

The WV Amateur Series is back in action Monday, May 13, on the Cobb Course at the Resort at Glade Springs.
