2024 WV Two-Lady Scramble sees tie at top    

The 2024 West Virginia Two-Lady Scramble Championship teed off the first day at Pipestem Resort Golf Course hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA).

In the Championship Flight, the team of Karen Rainey of Daniels and Dorothy Romanek of Wheeling and the team of Teresa Harper of Coolville, Ohio and Melanie Collins of Parkersburg share the lead at six under par 66.

The team of Drema Watts of St. Albans and Kim Smith of Winfield hold a one-stroke lead in the First Flight at two under par 70.

There are seven teams in this event.

Steve Robertson, head golf professional at Pipestem Resort State Park, said, “It’s always good to have WVGA events here, and we’re glad to see the addition of the Scramble Championship for the ladies.”

“We are pleased with the weather and the event, the first Scramble for the ladies,” said WVGA’s Director of Junior Golf and Core Services Lucas Ware.  “Special thanks go to Steve Robertson and his staff for having things in such great shape.”

Saturday’s final round tees off at 8:44 a.m.
