Registration: All contestants must register and pay in advance for each tournament. Entries may be paid for via online registration, or by calling the office at 304-391-5000 and paying over the phone. Registration into each event must be filed prior to the entry deadline. No “day of” payments will be accepted at any time. Please contact the WVGA if you have questions.
Entry Deadline: The entry deadline for each Senior Series event will be two days prior to each tournament date at 8:00am. No entries will be accepted after this time.
Withdrawal Policy: Refunds will be issued to those who properly withdraw before the registration deadline. An $8 processing fee will be assessed. Withdrawals made after the registration deadline will not be issued a refund, with the exception of a medical emergency or the like.
Transfer of Entry: For West Virginia Golf Association One-Day events only, players may transfer their entry fees to another one-day event site. To successfully transfer the entry fee, players must submit a written request to Chris Slack (cslack@wvga.org) or Lucas Ware (lware@wvga.org).
Pairing Request / Pairings: The WVGA accepts pairing requests at each of our Senior Series events. Players may email Chris Slack (cslack@wvga.org) or Lucas Ware (lware@wvga.org) to make pairing requests. Pairings will be made and released at least one day prior to each event and will be included in your Player Information email.

Entry Fee: $65.00 per event. This fee includes greens and cart fees, as well as lunch and prizes. Each tournament also includes an optional skins game and raffle, at $5.00 each. **Some events on the schedule will not include lunch. At these events, the gift certificate payout will be increased.**
Eligibility: Players must be a male golfer, over the age of 50, who is an active member of the WVGA and carries an active USGA Handicap Index.
Format: 18-hole individual stroke play with full USGA/WVGA handicaps. All Senior Series tournaments are 10:00AM shotgun start unless otherwise noted on the schedule below.
Flights: Senior (50-59), Silver (60-69), Gold (70+), Diamond (80+)
Event Yardages: The WVGA strives in making sure that each age division is playing from an appropriate yardage at each of the Senior Series events. Yardage approximations for each division are listed below but please note that these could change slightly depending on host facility and/or weather.
Approximate Yardages: Senior Division (6,400 yds.), Silver Division (6,000 yds.), Gold Division (5,400 yds.), and Diamond Division (5,400 yds.)
Players Meeting / Announcements: A WVGA staff member will hold a player’s meeting 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the shotgun round. It is imperative that all players be at their golf carts at this time so that the WVGA staff can go over the Notice to Players for that particular day as well as any announcements from the host facility. Once concluded, players will be instructed to their starting holes.
Score Posting: At the conclusion of each event each player’s score will automatically be posted to the GHIN Handicap System. Please do not enter your own scores from the competitive round, as this will result in a double post.

Points: Senior Series Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in both gross and net divisions and will be updated to the Player of the Year Points Standings the day following each event.
Exemption: The WV Resident with the most Gross points in the Senior Division will earn an exemption into the following year’s West Virginia Amateur and West Virginia Open. Qualification details Click Here
Season Finale: The Season Finale to be held at Williams Golf & Country Club will take place on October 17th. To qualify, you must have done one of the following: Finish the regular season in the Top 10 of any division Player of the Year race OR play in all regular season events OR play in all but one regular season event.
Year-End Awards / Recognition: Winners of each division will be awarded year-end prizes at the final event as well as being recognized in front of their peers. Participation awards will also be given out for those participants who have completed in all or all but one of the season’s Senior Series events.
