Harold Payne of Hurricane shot the Little General Stores Low Round of Day at the Senior Series event Monday at Sleepy Hollow Club with a one under par 71.
The Senior Series, sponsored by Little General Stores and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), is for players age 50 and up, and included eight players over 80. Overall, 102 players enjoyed the course on a beautiful October day. Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and 80+.
In addition to Harold Payne winning the Silver Gross, other winners today were:
- Senior Gross: David Corbin of Charleston;
- Senior Net: Stuart Scott of Beckley;
- Silver Net: Jeff Rollyson of Barboursville;
- Gold Gross: Ben Watson of Daniels; and
- Gold Net: Gary Roush of Mason.
