The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) Senior Series, presented by Little General Stores, played today on the Woodhaven Course at Glade Springs Village in Daniels.
The Little General Stores Round of the Day went to John Duty, Sr. of Hurricane, who shot a two over par 74 and also won Gross in the Silver Division. “I played well today,” said Duty, who birdied the 16th hole. “Two over par is a good score on this tough golf course.”

Other winners today were:
- Senior Gross: Bill Ray of Beaver;
- Senior Net: John Ridenour of Long Bottom;
- Silver Net: Dave Tonkery of Fairmont;
- Gold Gross: Ed McCall of Daniels (lost a scorecard playoff for the Round of the Day)
- Gold Net: Butch Freeman of Daniels;
- 80 + Gross: Bob White of Hurricane; and
- 80 + Net: Gary Roush of Mason.
The event, for players age 50 and up, drew a total of 74 players. Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and 80+.
