What is PLAY9? – Since 2014 the USGA’s PLAY9 program has been actively educating golfers and non-golfers alike the concept of the importance of the nine-hole round as a solution to address busy everyday lifestyles. PLAY9 is deepening its commitment at a local level and working closely with State and Regional Golf Associations to promote PLAY9 Play Days.

WVGA Involvement?  – The WVGA in association with the USGA are conducting PLAY9 Play Days throughout 2018 to promote nine-hole rounds as a fun, fast, and affordable way for everyone to enjoy the game of golf no matter how hectic our everyday schedules have become. We encourage golfers, non-golfers, individuals, couples, and families to come out and enjoy just a few hours on the course in a laid back, non-competitive atmosphere, that is affordable for all!

Entry Fee: Entry Fees are determined per event. Each entry fee is listed below 0n the schedule.

Eligibility: Any WVGA Member is welcomed to play!

Format: Each event is 9 holes. Format’s may include stroke play, scrambles, mixed/couple scrambles, stableford, etc.

Registration: All players may register online by following the link below or contact the WVGA office at 304-391-5000 and making payment via Visa or Mastercard. All players must register 48 hours in advance of each event.

Entry Deadline: The entry deadline for each PLAY9 event is 48 hours prior to the start of the event.

Score Posting: The USGA PLAY9 Initiative encourages players to post their 9-hole scores to their GHIN number.
