The Men’s, Ladies’ and Seniors’ teams from Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, swept the 2021 WV Club Team Championships at The Resort at Glade Springs.
The 2021 WV Club Team Championship, conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), at The Resort at Glade Springs, crowned its champions today and they were all from Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.
Winners of the Men’s Championship team from Sleepy Hollow included Christian Brand, Jonathan Clark, Cory Hoshor, Davey Jude ad Sam O’Dell, finishing with a combined score of two over par 290. Other top five finishers included the Snead Eclub, Berry Hills Country Club, Locust Hill Golf Course and Glade Springs Village. There were a total of 65 golfers on 13 men’s teams.
Winners of the Ladies’ Championship team from Sleepy Hollow included Christian Brand, Taylor Sargent, Savannah Hawkins and Megan Barber, finishing with a combined score of 11 over par 227. Other finishing teams represented Edgewood Country Club, Glade Springs Village and Big Bend Golf Association. There were a total of 16 golfers on four ladies’ teams.
Winners of the Senior Championship team from Sleepy Hollow included Christian Brand, Harold Payne, David Bumgarner and John Duty, finishing with a combined score of five over par 221. Other top five tems represented Berry Hills Country Club, Glade Springs Village, Valley View Golf Club ad Parkersburg Country Club. There were a total of 36 golfers on nine senior teams.
Individual winners on the day were:
Men’s champion Will Evans, Berry Hills Country Club, four under par 68;
Ladies’ champion Taylor Sargent, Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, five over par 77; and
Senior champion Bumper Wright, Glade Springs Village, even par 72.
