The 2022 West Virginia Senior Four-Ball Championship started play yesterday with 27 two-man teams from across the state at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston.  The Championship, conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), is for players age 50 and up.

Championship Division Champions Harold Payne and John Duty, both of Hurricane, won by a four-stroke lead against their nearest competitors, Mark Strickland and Dewayne Durham. They were the only team to shoot under par on the final day of the Championship.

Senior Division Champions were Joe Crislip and Neil Christiansen, both of Parkersburg. They shot a 72 on the first day and 69 today for a one over par 141.

Reid Carroll of Barboursville scored two birdies and two eagles on four consecutive holes in today’s round.
