Two finals matches are set for Wednesday at the West Virginia Senior Amateur Championship, sponsored by Little General Stores and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis.

Following Monday’s first round of 18-hole stroke play, two rounds of stoke play on Tuesday set the pairings for Wednesday’s final matches.

“It’s great to have championship-caliber players from across the state and region battling it out at the Canaan Valley Resort Golf Course,” said Matt Baker, general manager at Canaan Valley Resort. “With our meticulously groomed fairways, lush greens, over 60 sand bunkers and eight holes with water hazards, the course presents the perfect challenge for these top-flight players.”

Finalists for the Championship Bracket are Bryan Myers of Wheeling and Todd Westfall of Bridgeport. The winner of the Consolation Championship Bracket was Chuck Workman of Marlinton who defeated Christopher Brumley of Charleston 4 up.

Finalists in the Senior Championship Bracket are Joe Crislip of Parkersburg and Tony Bryant of Bridgeport.  The winner of the Consolation Senior Championship Bracket was Rick Degroff of Montrose who defeated Hank Middlemas of Fairmont 6 and 5.
