The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) FLIGHT by Yuengling Amateur Series saw some beautiful weather and amazing shots today from the field of 27 players on the Woodhaven Course at The Resort at Glade Springs.
Davey Jude of Kermit toped the Championship flight, posting a two over par 74. “I played pretty solid today,” Jude said. “The three birdies on the front 9 definitely helped get me in the right space to finish out the round.” Jude scored a total of five birdies today.
Josh Howell of Charlton Heights took the Men’s Gross Division after shooting a three over par 73 and Jeff Rollyson of Barboursville took the Men’s Net Division with a two under par 68.
The Women’s Gross Division title was taken by Karen Rainey of Daniels, shooting three over par 75.
The FLIGHT by Yuengling Amateur Series is open to anyone, male or female, of any skill level. Awards are given in several flights based on net and gross scores.

The FLIGHT by Yuengling Amateur Series is back in action on Thursday, September 8, at the Tygart Lakes Golf Course and Friday, September 9 at Apple Valley in Fairmont.
