The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), saw a field of 66 young golfers Wednesday at Riverside Golf Club in Mason.
The Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls went to Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana with an even par 70. McCartney Hinkle of Bluefield, Va. and Jackson Woodburn of Scott Depot tied after a play-off for the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys with a four over par 74.
Cook said, “I always love to play Riverside and was happy with the way I played today.”
“We looked forward to this event and the great turnout today,” said Riverside’s Golf Director Bob Greene.
“We are having a great final week of the Callaway Junior Tour regular season here at Riverside Golf Club in Mason. We’ll be sad to see the regular season end tomorrow,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.
Division winners were:
- Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Mount Zion;
- Boys 13-14: McCartney Hinkle of Bluefield, Va.;
- Boys 15-16: Jackson Woodburn of Scott Depot;
- Boys 17-18: Matthew Carney of Barboursville;
- Girls 10-14: McKenzie Armstrong of Belmont; and
- Girls 15-18: Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana.
