Chase Camerlin of Sistersville took top honors in the AAA Division of today’s Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League event, sponsored by Tri-State Rooking and Sheet Metal Co.

The Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League (CJRT), sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), played an event Saturday at Minibel Golf Course in Vienna.

The CJRT is broken into three divisions, based on skill and experience.  Division winners today were:

  • AAA (nine holes): Chase Camerlin of Sistersville;
  • AA (nine holes): Riley Mason of Ellenboro; and
  • A (six holes): Mason Karp of Weston.

Riley Mason of Ellenboro took top honors in the AA Division of today’s Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League event at Minibel Golf Course.

“This is our second year to host this event and we always enjoy having the kids,” said Minibel Manager George Potter.  “We just really support junior golf as a First Tee – West Virginia site and the Callaway program is a good way for kids to compete.”

“Minibel Golf Course is a great test of the short game. George and his staff have the course in excellent condition,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.

The event, a partner of Callaway Golf and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association, featured a field of 16 golfers ages 6 to 15 from across West Virginia.

Mason Karp of Weston took top honors in the A Division of today’s Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League event at Minibel Golf Course.
