The Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League (CJRT), sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., played a weather-delayed event Saturday at Mingo Bottom Golf Club.
The CJRT is broken into three divisions, based on skill and experience. Division winners today were:
- AAA (nine holes): McKenzie Armstrong of Belmont;
- AA (nine holes): Bentley Myers of Harrisville; and
- A (six holes): Mason Karp of Weston.
“We got involved with the WVGA three years ago and we always look forward to this event,” said Mingo Bottom’s General Manager and Director of Golf Billy Dotson. “Considering this is a former dairy farm, we now get to promote a lot of youth golf events here.”
“I’m glad the weather held off to get this event in. Mingo Bottom Golf Club is always a tour favorite with the great hospitality we always receive from Billy Dotson and the entire staff,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.
The event, a partner of Callaway Golf and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association, featured a field of 11 golfers ages 6 to 15 from across West Virginia.
