The Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League (CJRT), sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), played an event Sunday at The Club at Cress Creek in Shepherdstown.

The CJRT is broken into three divisions, based on skill and experience.  Division winners today were:

  • AAA (nine holes): Isabelle Studli of Fairfield, Pa.;
  • AA (nine holes): Myles Mumaw of Charles Town; and
  • A (six holes): Easton Stears of Harpers Ferry.

“The Club at Cress Creek is a great course for our young golfers to test their skills,” said WVGA Tournament Director – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.

“Our goal here is to see that youth golfers have a good time so they’ll want to continue playing,” said Cress Creek’s Head Golf Professional John Francisco.  “The course is in good shape and this is the first year the rough hasn’t been burned.”

The event, a partner of Callaway Golf and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association, featured a field of young golfers from across West Virginia.
