The Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League (CJRT), sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), closed its 2022 season with Sunday’s event at The Woods, Mountain View course, in Hedgesville.

The CJRT is broken into three divisions, based on skill and experience.  Division winners today were:

  • AAA (nine holes): Liam Keenan of Harpers Ferry;
  • AA (nine holes): Benjamin Burns of Ranson; and
  • A (six holes): Grant Langford of Martinsburg.

“We love having the children here and the course is good for them,” said The Woods’ Head Golf Professional Ron Springer.  “We want to start a First Tee-West Virginia program here in the spring because we want to have children playing golf.  We have some new middle school teams in the area and we love helping develop youth golf.”

The event, a partner of Callaway Golf and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association, featured a field of young golfers from across West Virginia.
