“Today was a fun round on an excellent course,” Kerri-Anne Cook said. “I’m happy to have played well.”
The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), closed the month of June at Stonewall Resort with a field of 92 young golfers Thursday.
Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana won her sixth Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls with a six over par 78. “Today was a fun round on an excellent course,” Cook said. “I’m happy to have played well.”
Isaac Hayes of Hurricane also shot a six over par 78 to win the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys. “The greens were more firm than I’m used to, so I’m glad to shoot the score I did,” he said.
“After hosting the 89th WV OPEN last week, the course is in incredible condition. It’s always a tough 18 holes to walk and I thought the players did very well,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.
Division winners were:
- Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Mount Zion;
- Boys 13-14: Isaac Hayes of Hurricane;
