The 98th Playing of the West Virginia Women’s Amateur, presented by Kalaskey Orthodontics and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), concluded its three-day championship today at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston. This championship featured the best 28 female golfers from West Virginia.

The 2021 champion was Cathleen Wong of Parkersburg, the leader after round one, who shot a 215 for the competition. “I’m extremely excited to be holding this trophy. It means a lot to me,” said 2021 champion Cathleen Wong.

- Low Junior: Savannah Hawkins of Hurricane
- Low Senior: Karen Kennett of Shepherdstown
- Low Net: Diane Watkins of Elizabeth
- Flight One Winner: Candy Rollyson of Barboursville
- Flight Two Winner: Jan Allen of Daniels

“We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of this tournament. I want the women to have the same caliber of course as the men have, and I want them to have fun,” explained Larry J. Kalaskey III, DDS, owner of Kalaskey Orthodontics. “My passion is golf and we have two children on golf teams at Marshall University. I wanted to give back to my sport and my state, and this is a great way to do it.”
