John Duty of Hurricane shot the Little General Stores Low Round of Day at the Senior Series event Monday at Edgewood Country Club with a three-under par 68.
The Senior Series, sponsored by Little General Stores and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), is for players age 50 and up, and included eight players over 80. Overall, 94 players enjoyed the course on a perfect September day. Categories are: Senior, 50-59; Silver, 60-69; Gold, 70-79; and 80+.
In addition to John Duty winning the Silver Gross and Net categories, other winners today were:
- Senior Gross and Net: Chuck Workman of Marlinton;
- Gold Gross: Ben Watson of Daniels;
- Gold Net: Stan Young of Hamlin;
- 80 + Gross: Bob White of Hurricane; and
- 80+ Net: Jack Richards of Scott Depot.
