John Duty of Hurricane shot the Little General Stores Low Round of the Day at Thursday’s West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) Senior Series event at Mingo Bottom Golf Course in Elizabeth with a (+1) 73.

“The wind was tough today, but I still was able to keep the ball in play and capitalize on four birdie putts,” Duty said.

“The day started chilly with a slight breeze, but turned into a better day,” said West Virginia Golf Association Tournament Manager Chance Hindbaugh.

“We always look forward to this event,” said Mingo Bottom General Manager and Director of Golf Billy Dotson.  “This former dairy farm, now a golf course owned by three women, has been involved with WVGA events for the past three years.  In addition to hosting Senior Series events, we promote a lot of youth golf events here for WVGA and other organizations.”
