The West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) FLIGHT by Yuengling Amateur Series played the third event of the 2022 season Thursday on the Arnold Palmer Signature course at Stonewall Resort.
The Championship Division was won by Philip Reale of Hurricane after shooting a two under par 70. Jerry McKisic of Buckhannon eagled the final hole to win the Men’s Gross Division, while Tom Pearcy of Charleston was the Men’s Net Division winner.
Karen Rainey of Daniels had the low round of the day in the Women’s Gross division, while Caroline Ramsey of Bridgeport took top honors in the Women’s Net division.
“It was nice to get another look at the course before the WVOPEN takes place here in a couple weeks,” Reale said. “I look forward to coming back.”
“We’d like to give special thanks to FLIGHT by Yuengling for supporting the WVGA in hosting these events,” said WVGA Tournament Manager Chance Hindbaugh.
“We wanted to give these players a good test, and the course was in great shape,” said Stonewall’s Head Golf Professional Mike Rogers. “We were looking forward to these good amateur players being here and we thank Yuengling for joining the ranks of great WVGA sponsors.”
The FLIGHT by Yuengling Amateur Series is open to anyone, male or female, of any skill level. Awards are given in several flights based on net and gross scores.
