The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), continued its 39th season June 1 at Pipestem Resort State Park.  Stephen McDavid of Scott Depot took the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys on a playoff with Tommy Evans of Charles Town and Alex Kagan of Lewisburg. The Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls went to Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana.

Cook said, “I had a tough hole 13, but I played well otherwise.”

“We always enjoy having the WVGA events and the Callaway Junior golfers,” said Pipestem’s Director of Golf and Recreation Operations Steve Robertson.  “The course was in excellent shape today.”

“Pipestem Resort is a great venue for the Callaway Junior Tour,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Operations Lucas Ware.  “The temperature was a little warm but it was a great day.”

Other division winners were:

  • Boys 12 & Under: Parker O’Dell of Hurricane;
  • Boys 13-14: Tommy Evans of Charles Town;
  • Boys 15-16: Stephen McDavid of Scott Depot;
  • Boys 17-18: Alex Kagan of Lewisburg;
  • Girls 10-14: McKenzie Armstrong of Belmont; and
  • Girls 15-18: Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana.
