The 98th Playing of the West Virginia Women’s Amateur, presented by Kalaskey Orthodontics and conducted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), enters its second day of the three-day championship at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston. This championship features the best 28 female golfers from West Virginia.
The first round of play saw Cathleen Wong of Parkersburg take the first round lead with a one over par 71; she played the back nine holes with a one under par 33. “I played well, but there is still a lot of golf left,” said Wong.
